Wife, mother, slave, writer. I was born and bred in South Africa, am proudly half-Irish and now live in a beautiful part of Hampshire.

My close friends call me Batwoman, which for some reason became Batmom.

As my kids hit their teens and my dulcet tones started reaching new levels of shrill, the moniker progressed to Badmom. It stuck.

I love my family. Usually.

Why Bad Moms?

Friends keep us balanced, keep us sane most of the time, and let us run wild (with supervision) when the need arises. Growing up in a large family, the oldest of 4 daughters – (yes, before you ask, an Irish Catholic family) there was never much peace in my house, and I sought comfort and quiet in books.
